Legend of the Headless Horseman

Long ago, a soldier lost his head to a cannonball during the Revolutionary War.
They say he rises from his grave each night, riding through Sleepy Hollow,
searching for a new head.
He’s fast. He’s silent.
And if you hear hooves behind you… run.

I wasn’t even supposed to be out that late!

I had just my girlfriend's house and sadly I had missed curfew. I KNEW MY MOM WAS GOING TO TRIP, so I booked it out of her house. I was around 10:30 p.m. I walked that path near old town road a million times, so I was quite familiar with the views. But this time felt idk... different? As I running to make it home, I suddenly tripped over something hard, when my body made impact with the unforgiving ground beneath me that's when I saw it.... A FREAKING HORSESHOE!!! It laid there shinning beneath the moonlight, and then I heard what sounded like hooves approaching behind me. That's when I looked up and saw him. He sat with perfect posture, on top the horse lantern in hand. It was like he was looking for something. The air felt so thick I could cut it with a knife. I could feel the evil!!!! It was a Tuesday afternoon and I swear I won't forget it. I was out late walking because I enjoy the views of the rain at night. As strolled down the street and neared closer to the train tracks I seen him approaching me. He looked like physical manifestation of death. He had no head and riding on a horse. Despite his lack of head my spirt felt he was staring at me. Genuinely the scariest experience of my life, I ran like somebody was trying to kill me! If I had stayed maybe he would've. I was once a skeptic but now I'm a believer. MAYBE RIP WASN'T LYING!
